This was one of the first independent readers our daughter started reading and found great joy in each of the wonderful pages. Just enough drama to keep them interested after transitioning from picture books, but cute enough and young enough not to have anything to do with crushes or middle school things like that. Such a perfect transition book that has these girls resolving their issues on their own without the help of someone stepping in. Dogs. Money. Fights. Making up. Messing up and then figuring out how to fix it. If you are looking for an independent read to make your kids fall in love with reading, this is the series to get.
