You might have noticed your kids at this age no longer want to read about characters who are perfect, do what they’re told, and are always ready for a life lesson. Enter, Mirabelle. Mom’s a witch. Dad’s a fairy. She just can’t help but break the rules and use all of her parts to cause havoc with her potions, spells, and fairy magic all at once. She is always in conflict with what is right and wrong, which is why this series was an read and repeat with our daughter. It’s spin-off of Isadora Moon, but you don’t need to read that to get this (though you should). The books fit perfectly into the hands of your newly independent readers, and the chapters are super short and have amazing illustrations to go with them. This series will give them the confidence to finish books by themselves. Fun to collect as well.
