Flawed, a little broken, but never backs down and is ok with getting into trouble and breaking rules. Drawn in slightly anime style and told with a crazy amount of heart. You root for her and feel for her as she falls, gets back up, and goes sideways. Read this to remember what middle school was like before you lecture your kids on what middle school was like. Had so many great talks with my daughter about this one. Reading these middle school graphic novels really grounds you into what your kids are going through. This one is a hidden gem spin-buster.
