Yep. They like non-fiction and this series is perfect for kids to start reading as they navigate things like: Money, crushes, drama, friends, digital, anxiety, self care, self love, and tons more. You can get individually or as a set. We gave these to our daughter at 8 and she kept coming back to them at 9 and 10, understanding them more and more. Good for dad’s to read as well since we didn’t grow up as girls. Boys should read too so they can understand girls better. PS - There isn’t really anything too American-Girl-y about these, but that familiarity in the name makes them more approachable than the other books like this
