This one crossed the threshold of bedtime books and made it to the couch for daytime reads. Turns out kids like characters a little grumpy, so it’s ok not to just toss sunshine and rainbows at them all the time. Heavy request to be read over and over again. I can still see her little hand nudging it towards me.
