I love when my daughter reads a book that teaches her but doesn’t let her know she’s being taught. This book is full of falls, bumps, bruises, losses, unfairness, and the will to keep going through all of it because you love the act of doing what you do. Also, you get a real inside look a the world of roller derby and your kids gets a boost of confidence along with their adrenaline after reading this. And rereading for years. Super classic and foundational to this golden age of graphic novels we’re lucky enough to witness.
